Laura looked over to the stage. “I was never one of those lame, clingy ones.” Caroline said flippantly. Laura bit her lip to keep from crying out, feeling beyond full. “What!”
“I mean it.” Derek lowered his voice. Laura went to his bag of clothes, fishing out a random t-shirt. She’d remind him of his
name later, and judging by the grin he was sporting, he was counting on it. “Of course not.”
She glared daggers at him. He grabbed both of her wrists in his hands, trapping her underneath his body,
as he began moving at a brutal pace.
